Volunteer Coordinator - Temporary Assignment

The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for communicating with, screening, scheduling, orienting and conducting post-engagement surveys of all volunteers for the Dilley Pro Bono Project (Project) in partnership with the Immigration Justice Campaign. The Coordinator will obtain necessary clearances for all volunteers in a timely fashion and maintain data collection systems to track volunteer engagement.

FOIA Staff Attorney

The FOIA Staff Attorney works to implement the American Immigration Council’s mission by promoting greater transparency in the immigration realm through litigation and advocacy related to the Freedom of Information Act and other open access laws. The attorney will use FOIA to compel agency transparency on a variety of immigration issues, including enforcement, due process, and business immigration. The attorney also will help lead the Council’s FOIA coordination efforts through collaborative work with Council staff, litigators, advocates, and open government organizations.

The Staff Attorney works to implement the American Immigration Council’s mission by working to limit unfair enforcement policies, protect due process rights and ensure a fair immigration process, and reduce restrictions in business immigration through impact litigation, amicus briefs to the federal courts and immigration agencies, advocacy, and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.
